Often there are hundreds of seniors graduating at one time. All wearing the same cap and gown, all blending in. But YOU are a stand out! I personally love the idea of a DIY- its even more personal and fun. If you need one fast and not feeling the hot glue burns (or is that just me?), do a a quick search on ETSY. There are thousands of ideas and customizations to choose from.

If you want to create your own, a quick trip to the craft store and a few hours of time, and you are totally personalized and ready to rock that graduation ceremony.
Steps
1. start with foam core, poster board or heavy white cardboard
2. trace your current cap- I think its best to make it just a touch smaller, it looks better with no over hang
3. make sure to mark where the tassel is and create a small hole if necessary.
4. get to decorating with your chosen theme
5. hot glue everything to the traced out board
6. hot glue the board to the cap
A quick Google or Youtube search for custom graduation cap will yield a ton of tutorials and videos. I wish this was a thing in 1990! I would have had a blast showing off my interests and future endeavors. Graduations are a big deal, make it a great day!
